Long before I started on this path of self-actualization, I was always the one with the plan. Juggling many responsibilities, figuring things out on the fly, making the impossible happen. Friends and family admired my ability to think fast and move faster.
“You always have an answer for everything,” they would say.
I was relentless in my pursuit, yet feeling like I was forgetting something important. I was always striving, pushing, reaching for the next solution
Beneath my hunt for all the answers was fear and insecurity. A fear of not having enough, being wrong, too late, misunderstood, unlikable, weird….But the truth is, I wasn’t thinking my way to clarity. I was thinking myself further and further away from it.
I was exhausted. Overwhelmed. Out to prove something. Doubtful of my gifts.
Most of my days were overly consumed with perfecting, striving, pushing, and relentlessly pursuing excellence. I was burning out and I began to question if this was truly the way I wanted to live.
I probably stayed in this pattern, because I was sold a dream and desired the validation that I thought it would give me. But, it turned out to not be nourishing and fulfilling to the core of me.
Growing up, I was taught to be smart. The answer to every problem, every challenge, every doubt, was to think my way through it. If I could just calculate the right move, strategize enough, work hard enough, then everything would fall into place.
My body would whisper warnings of stress like; missing periods, mood swings, tight shoulders, a churning stomach, sudden fatigue. But I would ignore them. If something didn’t seem logical, I dismissed it. If my gut told me one thing, my mind told me another. Even if my body said different, I’d strive and press on.
The result?
A widening disconnect between me and my intuition. I was in a haze of overthinking, separating further and further from my internal guidance, my intuition, my magic.
Out of My Mind, Just in Time
My love for art, appreciation for design, and creative energy was always what made me come to senses. Because, there you just have to let yourself be misunderstood. Look a little crazy. Be wild. Be unpolished. Be unedited. You find your way to your highest self when you stop striving to control every outcome and start trusting the process.
In the process, there’s a lot of gathering of spare parts, collecting odd skills, weird objects and adding new tools that you’re drawn to but have no idea what you’ll do with them yet. It’s messy, free, and it’s not so buttoned up.
Erykah Badu, one of my all-time favorite artists, captures this perfectly in her song Out of My Mind, Just in Time. If you’ve ever listened to it, you know what I mean. She embodies what it means to break free from the exhausting loop of pleasing, performing, overthinking, and instead surrendering to the knowing that has always been within.
As I evolved, I realized that I had nothing to fear. Life was not a race for answers. I had to take my time and trust the natural intuition I had all along. The more I tried to think my way to solutions, the more disconnected I felt from the guidance that was already present inside of me.
No matter where I’ve lived I’ve always kept space for a little art. An easel in the corner, a box of paints, a sewing machine, a journal to doodle. It didn’t matter how, but I always have somewhere to tap in to my divine self. Where I don’t judge, i just feel and flow.
Those of us with this natural inclination to observe, express, create; are gifted with divine intuition by nature.
As I lean into this side of me, life shows me logic is valuable, but it’s not the only path to wisdom. We were gifted with many other faculties of greater ability. Our intuition, creativity, visualization, imagination, and more. But, we are meant to use them in harmony, not to overwork one while neglecting the others.
It’s time to stop striving, stop second-guessing, stop trying to intellectualize your way into alignment.
Your divine knowing is already here. Will you finally listen?
When you emplore more logic based thinking, you put unnecessary pressure on yourself and feel like you're grasping for all the answers. And, overtime this becomes an exhausting, depleting, and overwhelming way to live. Intellect is one of many faculties we are gifted with, but not our only means of living and existing in this life.
Staying always in your logical mind (for fear of anything else) is also directly opposed to your natural feminine qualities and the wholeness of your goddess essence.
Relying solely on logic as a security and survival strategy may keep you safe for time, but it was never meant to be your default state of being.
Your intuition and creativity are the missing keys to true alignment and wholeness. Intuitive power transcends the physical realm, offering insight and guidance beyond effort and struggle.
In today’s world, reclaiming this part of yourself (your innate feminine wisdom) could be the very thing that sets you free. If you allow yourself to learn, align, and activate it, you step into your goddess essence, moving beyond survival into a life of flow, ease, and divine mastery.
Your feminine energy is in receiving, allowing, trusting, and then moving, creating, then expressing from that inspired place of divine knowing.
Constantly rationalizing, overthinking, and analyzing every step disconnects you from your god/goddess essence. It strips away the magic, leaving no room for intuition, mystery, and the unseen forces that guide creation.
Your Goddess Is Not in Your Head, She’s In Your Body
Goddess energy thrives in trust, flow, and surrender to what cannot always be measured but can always be felt. Clinging too tightly to logic and certainty blocks the very realms where divinity resides. It is the mystical, the abstract, the elusive, unseen, the metaphysical, the infinite possibilities beyond reason. When you open yourself to the unknown, you invite miracles.
Have you ever found yourself dragging your physical body into experiences that don’t align again and again, while know in your bones you are moving out of divine alignment?
It’s that heavy sigh, the weight in your chest, the reluctant “Well… I guess I have to….” That moment when you resign yourself to overworking, overthinking, and pushing through struggle like it’s your only option.
But it’s really not.
This is where you have an opportunity to know your worth and ask for more.
You don’t have to fit the depth, breadth, and complexity of your emotions, motivations, and divine nature into a little box. You don’t need the added pressure to understand why all the time. You don’t need to overutilize this masculine lens, where everything is scrutinized, and the mind is only concerned with the material, the evidence, and linearity of all existence.
There is so much more beneath the surface, beyond what your eyes can confirm.
So when will you answer the call to feel your inner guidance more fully, deeply, before the world forces you to?
Must you wait for illness to prove you’ve been neglecting yourself?
For financial struggle to confirm your buried insecurities and lack of self-worth? You could, but you don’t have to.
Your body speaks it before the physical world has to scream it. The signs are already there.
I have decided to trust that life has and will continue to reveal what I need to know in a way and pace that is organic and divinely timed, not forced. I’ve seen this arise in so many different contexts of life.
In relationships, you might try to predict what the other person is thinking before even tuning into how you feel.
In business and creativity, you might freeze, waiting to have every step mapped out, every risk eliminated. You study relentlessly, accumulating knowledge, chasing qualifications, consuming books, podcasts, and social media—never feeling ready to begin.
In conversations, you could hesitate, believing your thoughts aren’t valid unless backed by research or intellectual proof.
In self-development, you may dig endlessly for the root of every feeling, believing healing means fixing yourself—maybe even fixing the world.
And in spirituality, you could overanalyze the mysteries of life, thinking enlightenment is something to be decoded rather than felt. You focus on healing instead of trusting you are already healed and in sacred flow.
For our feminine being, there is deep beauty and naturalness in letting go of the need to know. There is profound relief found in relaxing into your femininity, being naturally receptive and open to life. A surrendered space where you don’t need to know it all yourself or solve and figure everything out through your own mind, but instead can rest in the wisdom of your feminine nature and the deeper knowing of the divine.
Rising into your goddess mindset means embracing the intuition and divine guidance that naturally flow through you. It’s about feeling your way through life, love, business, and creative expression, trusting that you are guided and supported. This shift from striving to trusting is a powerful reclamation of your feminine essence.
Let’s Clear the Air & Embrace Your Divine Self
Are you ready to move away from the judgement, doubt, and endless clouds of overthinking? Are you ready to finally embrace a goddess mentality, a divine perspective, your true essence? If so, I invite you to explore the tools and inspiration in my latest book, A Goddess Complex. It’s the first of the Golden Goddess Alchemy series and is the ultimate guide to finding your way out of your mind and into your knowing.
I’m currently working on the release of the second part of the series. I hope you will stick around and subscribe, so that you will be one of the first to be notified of it’s release!
Remember, you’ll find your goddess deep in your core, not in your head. The mind is often overrun with so much influence that it would be foolish not to consider how much our minds play tricks on us. The goddess mentality is not about thinking your way out, but feeling your way through.
It is an intuitive nature, which is a rhythmic relationship between the heart and the sacred womb. It is life force energy intertwining. Respiring inward and outwardly, helping you to feel and notice the wisdom and the truth of the present moment (your momentum). With that, your mind is made up and your intentions are clear. And, your path is ease rather than resistance.
This is deep stuff. If you enjoyed this read, let’s continue the conversation in my chat, I’d love to hear from you!
